Applied baton markers, framed day-date at 3, all wrapped in a sharp 1970s TV-shaped case with polished flanks that throw light like chrome. This is vintage Seiko at its most confident — a dial colour most brands never had the nerve to make, in a case shape they’ve long since abandoned.

Turning it is the Seiko 7019 — a genuine 21-jewel automatic, and yes, that count is real and factory-stamped right on the dial. Self-winding, day-date, English calendar. It’s one of the more characterful movements of the era, and this one has been opened, serviced, and held to the timegrapher until the rate settled true.
