Seiko 5 Sports — "Blue Explorer",23 Jewels, 100m | Ref. 7S36-02L0 | Exhibition Caseback | 41mm .
This is the one that actually goes in the water.
100 metres. 10 bar. Not the 30m "don't wash your hands" rating on half the vintage market — a real sealed case with a proper gasket and a rotating dive bezel on top. Swim in it. Get caught in the rain. Wear it in the shower and stop thinking about it.
Under it, the dial is a deep radial blue — darkening toward the rim, brightening at the centre where the light pools. Oversized 12, 9 and 6 numerals in black, lumed batons at the rest, and a thin yellow seconds hand cutting across the whole thing. That single yellow line against the blue is the detail people comment on.
Inside is the 7S36 — twenty-three jewels, not the twenty-one in a standard Seiko 5. The higher-spec Seiko 5 Sports calibre, with better bearing surfaces and smoother winding. Through the open caseback you watch it run: rotor swinging, balance wheel beating 21,600 times an hour, powered by nothing but the motion of your arm. No battery. No charging.
Made in Japan. On the dial, on the movement.
Fully serviced. Timegrapher-verified. 20+ hour power reserve.
Seiko 5 Sports in Japanese assembly with the 23-jewel movement and a working dive bezel do not sit around. One piece. ৳14,000.
